Ballast Bloc
The Steelshield Ballast Bloc is the newest addition to our hire stock. The Ballast Bloc was initially designed as an alternative to water ballast for our Freeshield system. Since its launch, many site managers have shown a great interest in hiring the ballast bloc on its own for signage, stage ballast and CCTV towers.
The frame of the ballast bloc is made of 48.3mm pipe, making it compatible with standard scaffold pipes and clips. In the centre of the frame is a bin filled with solid concrete. The total weight of the frame and concrete is 1.26 tonnes. In situations where more weight is required, ballast blocs can be stacked and clipped together.
